Mark has over 30 years of experience implementing control systems in industrial environments in Alberta as well as projects in China, South Africa, and Cuba. He is an electrician by trade, an instrumentation engineering technologist, an electrical engineer and is certified as an IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Risk Assessment Specialist. Most recently he provided leadership to control system engineering teams involved in the support of operational systems as well as control projects involving new strategies for implementation of advanced control using AI models to support operational efficiency. He has spoken at Security Week’s ICS cybersecurity conference, CS4CA and the ARC Advisory Conference where he has shared experiences and adventures from implementing the control system technology that is part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution that we are currently venturing through.
