Aïssa Harhira received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Lorraine (France). He then held a postdoc position at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal working on laser processing and optical fiber sensors. He joined the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in 2012 where he is Research Officer. His current research focuses on the development of innovative applications and systems based on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and optical spectroscopy techniques for energy, mining and environment sectors.
