Simon Lucchini
Simon Lucchini has 40 years of experience in all phases of Safety Instrumented Systems design from Hazard Identification, Systems Specification, Design, Systems Verification and Audit, Operations and Maintenance for the Petro-Chemical process industry. He has worked in the Process industry in roles ranging from operations/maintenance to corporate engineering and project engineering. Simon, now retired, was most recently the Fluor Global Fellow in Safety Systems Design and the Chief Controls Specialist based at the Fluor Calgary Alberta Canada office.
He has written papers on Safety Systems for various industry and academic venues. He has co-authored an ISA book on safety systems and written two chapters in Bela Liptak Instrument & Automation Engineer’s Handbook (5th Edition).
